Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events - 2004

Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events - 2005

(First Movie Review, Be Nice!)

A Series Of Unfortunate Events is a 2004 comedy movie starring the amazing and funny Jim Carrey.

The Film is all about three children, Violet, Clause and Sunny, who's home and parents are destroyed in a fire, which was started by unfortunate events. The children are placed in the hands of Count Olaf, who is only interested in getting the fortune that the children's parents left behind. The children are then moved onto another guardian, Dr Montgomery Montgomery. However Count Olaf is right behind them and trying to get them back, he kills Montgomery and escapes. The children are again placed with another guardian who Count Olaf, again kidnaps. In the end the Children are placed back with Count Olaf, who plans to marry Violet for the fortune. The Plan fails and Olaf is found guilty. The film ends with the children speeding towards their new home away from the Count and their destroyed home, into the future.

Now i know this film was released in 2004 but i didn't see the film untill quite recently in June 2010. I fell in love with the whole thing and i can't stop watching it. I love the way its written and acted out by everyone involved its a really good film. Its a really good family film to watch, no wonder it was a hit.

The film is set on the series of books written by Lemony Snicket and i think its one of the best film adaptations since i watched Harry Potter. I just love this film and the challenges which face the children all the way through the film such as the snakes, the house on the cliff and more. I really do recommend this film to ANYONE it is a really must watch films and just has a story which will charm everyone

Benidorm - Series One - 2007

Benidorm - Series One - 2007

Benidorm is a very popular ITV Comedy program set in Benidorm, Spain. Its mostly set inside the all-inclusive hotel the Solana Resort.

Series One was a very good series, very well written and very funny. The main characters such as Janice, Madge and others are beautifully written and portrayed by very good actors. The Series doesn't really include a storyline but does include some shocks such as Chantelle being pregnant and Kate's affair with Mateo, the only spanish character in the whole series.

The Series was very enjoyable to watch and full of laughs, i could watch them all day and not get bored. The fact that its set and filmed in a real-life location in Benidorm makes it feel realistic compared to some TV Shows, its how some couples and families actually spend their holidays.

I would say that the series was very well thought up and made and the decision to create a second series was a really good idea. While im here i would like to congratulate 'Benidorm' on wining Most Popular Comedy Program at the National Television Awards 2011.

Gavin And Stacey - Series Two

Gavin And Stacey - Series 2 - 2008

Gavin and Stacey, i shall continue with the theme! So i'm onto the second series on DVD along with this, and while im writing this im watching a episode.

The Second series is longer by one episode and its great to see new stories come into the series, such as Gavin And Stacey trying to find a house and also Nessa's pregnancy, in which she gives birth to Neil the baby at the end of the series. Once again brilliant acting from all of the actors and just classic jokes from the scripts. The Characters chemistry is just really believable especially in Episode 5 where Gavin, Smithy, Mick and Pam all sing together it shows that all of them have known each other for years.

The Series is all leading up to the climax in which Gavin and Stacey almost break-up its just amazingly acted between Jo and Matt they make it seem real and just make it really emotional. The last episode where Nessa gives birth is a brilliant ending for the series which shows everything is happy and fine, including the moment where Gavin and Stacey make up and are shown both wearing their wedding rings once again.

Series Two is better than Series One in many aspects such as the jokes and Gwen's Barn Dance which is just classic. I love Series Two and i loved every moment!

Sonny With A Chance - Series 1 2009

Sonny With A Chance - Series 1 - 2009

Sonny With A Chance is a Disney Channel original series staring rising star Demi Lovato. Even though im a teenager i LOVE Watching Disney Shows such as Sonny and also 'The Suite Life On Deck' 'That's So Raven' and even 'Wizards Of Waverley Place' . I will review these programs in turn soon.

Sonny With A Chance is a really well made series, another Disney Channel Hit. The story is about a regular girl who becomes a star overnight by gaining access to become a cast member on the popular US Show 'So Random!'. Grady and Nico take to Sonny well but fellow cast member Tawni doesn't like the idea of havin a new cast member. Sonny soon meets her next Hollywood star, TV'S Chad Dylan Cooper star of 'Mackenzie Falls'. Chad soon persuades Sonny to join him and the Cast at the Falls. However in the end of the series, Tawni and Sonny pull together against chat-show host, Gilroy Smith during a interview with him.

For me the series was full of laughs and fun jokes such as the sketches from the show within the show 'So Random!'. I loved watching Demi Lovato and the other cast members play such good parts. The Series was normal Disney standard in which you expect a Disney series too be, but has a sort of likeness to it. I recommend anyone to watch this series, especially if your a teen/child, you never know, you may like what happens!

Raiting: 8/10!

Doctor Who - Series One (2005)

Doctor Who - Series One - March-July 2005
Doctor Who - Series One. Well i am a massive Doctor Who Fan so i am gonna review the series. Starting with Christopher Eccelston and Billie Pipers series.

Since 1998, Doctor Who had been off the UK'S tv screens and in 2004 the BBC Decided to breath some fresh air into it.

I Absolutely loved Series One of Doctor Who , even though my first series was Series Two with David Tennant, i still adore watching the first series. I watched all the repeats to catch up on the story and now i'm addicted. The Series is well written and very well brought back. Even though i haven't ever watched the classic series of Doctor Who, i still feel that the graphics and way the series is made has advanced a lot since the 1960's. The Companion, played by Billie Piper is a very good and realistic character. When she first meets the Doctor her reaction is completely realistic for a normal Human, and when she finds out what the TARDIS does she is blown away.

Also, Christopher Eccelston who plays The Doctor made a good impression as The Doctor, but i wasn't convinced all of the time. He was too normal. He could have been written a bit better.

The Enemies of this series were original and classic. Apart from The Daleks, who are back and better than ever. The New Daleks are a completely new design but still contain that old Dalek look that everyone knows and loves. Even if they don't watch Doctor Who.

After watching the whole of Series One i think that the series was really well made and was a perfect bring back for Doctor Who.

Come Fly With Me - Series One

Come Fly With Me - Series One - 2010/2011

Come Fly With Me is a BBC Series created by ' Little Britan' creator's David Walliams and Matt Lucas.

Come Fly With me shows the life of a average British airport and a low cost airine 'FlyLo'. The series is a mockumentary of the TV shows 'Airport' and 'Airline.

The Characters of the series are well thought of. They are very entertaining to watch. The First episode attracted alot of controversy, however the series is full of laughs. The Characters such as FlyLo owner Omar Baba, Taaj Manzoor and check-in workers Melody and Keeley are very believable characters. I loved the whole series and cannot wait for the second. I mean for me the series is much like a home from home as i love watching programs about Airport life and Airlines. FlyLo , Great British Air and Our Air Lady are very good parodies of British Air ect. I am very glad that the series has been commissioned for a second series later on this year. I shall be reviewing the second series after the series finishes.

Gavin And Stacey - Series One

Hey Guys
Welcome to my new Blog. I will be reviewing TV Shows and Movies one by one. But first here's my first.

Gavin And Stacey - Series 1 - 2007
After watching the whole of series one of 'Gavin and Stacey' i have a brief idea of the storyline. So here it is. Gavin Shipman, a boy from Billericay, Essex, London falls for a girl called Stacey West, from Barry, South Wales. The two decide to meet up in London together along with their best mates, Smithy (Neil), Gavin's best mate and Nessa (Vanessa) Stacey's. The pairs spend the night together in a hotel. After spending the night together, Gavin drives down to Barry to see Stacey again. The pair eventually get engaged and plan to marry in 8 weeks. However Gavin's first encounter with The West's is not the best. Gwen (Stacey's Mother) mistakes him for a Jehovah. Bryn (Stacey's Uncle) comes over to help. But Stacey soon sets everything right. The Couple marry in Barry.

For me the first series of 'Gavin and Stacey' was enjoyable, it mixed up Comedy and Romance into one big bowl. Ruth Jones and and James Corden have thought up this series very well. It has been a big success for the two. The Two characters of Stacey and Gavin (Played by Matt Horne and Jo Page) are really well created. The chemistry between the two is something that most couples tend to find a while on, whereas these two have had a time period of 6 months.

In the end 'Gavin And Stacey' Series One is an amazing and entertaining series that will continue to entertain the nation for many years to come. Before i finish i would like to say my condolences of the family and to Margret John who played Dorris in all three series of the Show.
